1. The shift from elementary school academics to Middle School:

    • Cognitive readiness for college preparatory high school
    • Rigorous schedule with rotating classes
    • Low teacher/student ratio
    • English: Students are taught to love and appreciate literature.
    • Compositions and writing become more organized and develop under the emphasis of vocabulary and grammatical structure
    • Math: Intermediate math and pre-algebra will build a solid foundation on simpler concepts that prepare students for the complex concepts in high school
    • History, Science, Health: Students are prepared for advanced education in all these areas, learning the compatibility of faith and science as well as history

2. Emphasis on growth in all areas:

    • Educational field trips throughout the year
    • Exposure to a wide variety of interests such as performance, athletics, art, music, etc.
    • Clubs such as P31 (for girls, based on Proverbs 31) and ManUp (for boys) with practical teaching for real life issues
    • Advanced degreed teachers who take an interest in the growth of the whole student, not just academics
    • Weekly chapel geared for this age group
    • Preparation for standardized achievement tests with consistently high scores
    • Inter-scholastic sports including flag football, volleyball, and more

1. College preparatory classes include an honors track or diploma track:

    • Math: Algebra I & II, Consumer Math, Geometry, Calculus & Trigonometry, Business Statistics
    • Science: Biology, Matter & Energy, Chemistry, Physics, all with full laboratory sessions weekly
    • English: Literature, Grammar, Poetry, Spelling, Vocabulary, and Composition. Senior year includes research and analysis on career/profession interests and college investigation
    • History, Science, Health: Students are prepared for advanced education in all these areas, learning the compatibility of faith and science as well as history
    • Electives: Journalism, Art Studio, Performance Ensemble, Speech/Public Speaking, Life Skills, STEM/Computer Applications, Spanish
